A very special early car trip to blow off the winter blues. The all new 'Borders On Posh' (BOP) 4 Wheels Forward Mystery Tour 2022 - With all the problems of 2020/2021 hopefully behind us, this trip is a must do for anyone wishing to give their 4 wheeled favorite a good run out early in the year, solo, with the Wife, or with a good friend. We will all meet up on Friday 18th just before lunch, to hopefully give everyone the chance to join in from anywhere in the UK and give us more time to do all the fantastic Borders routes planned, taking in all the sights along the way that this stunning area has to offer. However, if you have to work on the Friday and can only join us at our stunning Hotel in the Borders, not far from Gretna, on the Friday evening, feel free to do so, just let me know in advance please.
Day 1 - New Meeting Place, in, or near the far end of the Coach Park across from the pumps, up from Greggs, at Moto Ferrybridge Services J33, A1(M), where it crosses the M62. Follow the Coach signs as you enter and fuel up as you arrive please. Friday 18th March @10.45am (earlier if you want breakfast) for a 11:00am departure (WF11 0AF). The afternoon will see us exploring some stunning roads across North Yorkshire and up into the Borders, ETA at our lovely Hotel near Gretna around 17:30, before our first posh night of Food, Drink and BOP Banter.
Day 2 - After a nice, very relaxed breakfast, Saturday the 19th sees the BOP crew heading on a Western loop, using a stunning driving route. We will take in as many faster quiet B roads and interesting places this wonderful area has to offer, with a good few Coffee stops along the way, before eventually arriving back at our superb Hotel around 16:30. Leaving plenty of time for a walk around the love;y grounds, before getting ready for our evening meal, along with another wee drinkies or two and some more BOP banter, before bed.
Day 3 - Sunday 20th, after another lovely relaxed breakfast overlooking the gardens, we say good-bye to or wonderful Hotel and turn back South on a deferent, but still stunning route back through the Dales, eventually saying our good-byes close to our starting point near the A1/M62 around lunch time, giving everyone plenty of time to make the journey home at a reasonable time.
I believe the BOP will make a truly fantastic Car trip. The roads we will use are amongst the best in the country, with little traffic and few speed cameras, with lots to see along the way. So, put this date date in your new 2022 diary and book yourself in for this epic early 4WF Mystery Tour. Definitely the way to start in 2022 people.
